PROJECT 519

(Giving a new definition to the meaning of “charity stripe”)

During the 2006-07 Loyola men’s basketball season, the Ramblers made 519 free throws. This year we are looking to raise funds based upon the free throw shooting prowess of the team.

The Backcourt Club is sponsoring a free throw shooting challenge based upon pledges per free throw made.  (For example, if you pledged 10 cents per made free throw, you would have pledged $51.90 to the cause.)

Half of the proceeds will be donated to men’s basketball and the other half will go to Misericordia/Heart of Mercy.  Misericordia/Heart of Mercy is an organization that helps maximize the independence of those individuals with developmental disabilities while enhancing their quality of life.

To sign up for this season long event, please fill out a pledge form.  Click here for the sign-up form.
